My Take on the 8th Season(so far).

Kinda uneven half-season. Out of the seven episodes, two were great("Good Times with Weapons" "AWESOM-O"), three were pretty good, but there was something that didn't hit the mark to make them great(the steroids episode, "I Got Fucked in the Ass" and "Goobacks from the Future") and the rest just went nowhere("The Passion of the Jew" "The Jeffersons"). I always used to say that as long as Trey and Matt have some statement to make, there's always going to be SOUTH PARK, but here's hoping that the execution is improved by the next half-season.

Things that I agree with:

-The first half was a mixed bag. -"Good Time with Weapons" was a great episode (face it, Trey and Matt definitely put a lot of effort into this episode, and it payed off). -"Up the Down Staircase" was good, but not great. -"You Got Fucked in the Ass" was missing something to hit its mark.

Things that I disagree with:

-"A.W.E.S.O.M.-O" being a great episode (I felt it needed a B-plot to give Stan and Kyle something to do in order for it to be great). -"Goobacks from the Future" being good, but not great (that was the worst episode of the batch IMO). -"The Passion of the Jew" and "The Jeffersons" going nowhere (After "Good Times with Weapons", I felt that those two were the second and third best episodes of this half-season).

I thought the Passion of the Jew had a great promo....and thats about it. One of the biggest missed opportunities in the history of the show. Appealed mostly to the fans who watch the show for shock value rather than humor..and even there it was predictable.
