i would just like to say that i dont blame any of the regulars who have left the group or decided to go into lurk mode

this group has turned into a bunch of idiots who have nothing better to say than "what do they mean about rainbows" or "what about the mj reference in big gay al's" (the mj reference never did exist)

the chris farley post is another thing sweet christ people how long can you spend talking about a dead comedian only to come to the conclusion that he was over weight

stupidity must be contageous because all i see is idiot after idiot jump into the group with no knowledge what so ever about what is being discussed (people are too freaking lazy to read a few past posts or even headers) and post the same question or SP fact that everyone else has known for at least a month

while we are on the topic on posts i think it takes a special breed of idiot to post "hi" as a message

people are to stupid/lazy/ignorant that they cant get off their ass and dl something or check out alt.binaries.southpark they sit here and say "GIVE ME THIS GOD DAMNIT" and then they are stunned when people reply with the always appropriate "FUCK YOU"

then there is the occasional idiot who drops in telling me and several other regulars that we are nazis and communists because we believe in moderating a group (which i feel most people in here still dont understand)

this NG is a melting pot of idiots and i am personally suprised that most people stuck around as long as they did (myself included)

i dont know if bob has decided to go lurking or has just been kicking back the last couple of days but i dont blame you one bit if you stop coming back for the inevitable bashing by an uninformed moron

oh well that is my opinion of the masses (good luck AM, dementia, yeahbuddy4, bob the soul crusher, and anyone i might have forgotten)

I can't agree with you more. I've been reading posts at alt.tv.southpark for maybe 5 months now and I can definatly see a decline in intellect. I, however, don't post here much (except for important things; I was first to point out Spumco controversy) because I don't like idiots responding. Now that the Internet is FULL blown and it seems like just about every household has it, new shows, in this case South Park, just get drenched. Just think if Beavis and Butt-Head were to premiere their first episode next week. Their newsgroup would be trashed with crap and there would be hundreds of BnB sites made each month. The only hope is that as time goes on, these people will finally have their idiotic question answered and the regulars will remain. I doubt it though. You bring up many good points; the requests for real video and wavs and crap have to stop. Hopefully they will realize that there are a few excellent web sites out there (Taisons and Mr. Hats Hell Hole) that will answer EVERY question. I just feel bad that regulars are leaving because of the in"duh"viduals. -Wallace

               This mutant congestion is mainly due to the rise in
               popularity of SP, however I do think that people
               should do some reading and searching before they
               start blindly posting.

               And then theres people like me who post such

Sure seems like there are "old-timers" in here trying to close the social circle of this NG. Complaints about Newbies and old questions and so forth. There are many folks who, while they may not have the savvy to search and spend hours looking for the lyrics to "Kyles mom is a stupid bitch in D minor" may ask for it, pleasantly, on the NG. Heaven forfend there be asked a question that has been answered before!!!

The NG is open to all, for good and bad, that's how it is, and honestly, how I like it. To complain about "the overall intelligence level of the group" is a little inane, especially considering the subject of the group. This is not alt.sci.thermodynamics, folks!

By closing the social circle, or ofrming a clique, or whatever the fuck you want to call it, you not only create a chilling effect on new folks who may in time be very beneficial to the group, but also paint yourself as a get a lifer who has little more to do than make observations about the future of the Southpark NG !!!

So in conclusion, LIGHTEN UP !!!!
