troll arguments

OK, I know I should really stay out of this, but I have to comment....people can complain all they want, and even post a billion "don't feed the trolls" messages, but the fact remains that people will always feed the trolls. Some people don't learn, as I have recently, that a filter is there for a reason. Someone getting on your nerves?? Sick of hearing about Tommy, Timmy, or whatever the hell they are ranting about?? Well, just shove that baby in the filter and avoid it all together. It's a hell of a lot easier than replying to the damn trolls whenever they post.

Flame wars are bullshit and a waste of time and bandwidth. Back in the day, when I first started getting into newsgroups I did the stupid thing and just jumped in- without lurking for a while. I didn't really know netiquette too well and ended up acting like an asshole, getting in one flame war after the other. I've learned since then how stupid and mindless that is. I mean, what's the point? The best thing to do is to just plop the offender -whether they are actual trolls or plain jerks- into your killfile. If you don't have a killfile, then download one. It's that simple.
