Anybody else get the feeling that the "Mr. Hankey" Christmas show was originally set to run a full hour and was later cut to just thirty minutes?
Notice that "Ike's" part of the Dreidel song seems to have been awkwardly cut from the broadcast version (it's on the CD, though), and that several songs on the "Mr. Hankey" CD seem obviously mixed as soundtracks for visuals but weren't in the TV show at all.

Well, the CD lasts for about 35 minutes, and the episode is just 22 minutes, so some cuts had to be made somewhere........

Yea, but what was weird was that it looked like they had the Ike verse in Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel originally to be shown on the show, but it was obviously cut. Meaning, it jumped to Eric Cartman after Kyle was done singing that it didn't flow. I dunno. I agree with the previous poster...some parts seemed to be abruptly cut (meaning, you could tell -- not just from listening to the music, but watching it). It's like they didn't test it to be the 22 mins that they needed it to be.
What bothers me is that they left a lot of songs out of the CD (like the Santa/Jesus duet and the song called, "It's Christmas, Let's F--k"). I wonder why. They only used 35 minutes of a 74 minute CD.
Oh well...the CD is still good!
I never heard about the "its christmas, lets fuck" song. It wasn't on the show or the cd.
It was on a list of songs circulating for a month before the final list came out. I'm sure it would have been sung by Saddam Hussein. I do wish Trey and Matt will release an hour-long version of this episode on video or DVD, with all the songs from the CD. I would have liked to see an hour-long show rather than the standard half hour.
