DYN: The Styx Song that Cartman Sings

For those that nitpick...(like me)

When cartman has to finish the Styx song, "Come sail away"...he leaves out the second verse the first time he has to sing it...

here's a question...why is Matt and Try trying to bring back songs that should have been buried a long time ago...

It's very scary that you noticed that the second verse was missing. How many times did you have to rewind the tape and listen to it to make that discovery?

once...actually i didn't discover it...my friend who is a HUGE styx freak picked it up on the first viewing...i had to listen to it again to see if he was right...:)

They use cheesy 70 and eighties toons because thats when they grew up. Also sorry to burst any bubbles here, the show is rated MA for mature audiences, thats whits on at 10 PM. Adults have heard all these tunes already and can relate to them.

I enjoy Shadow Dancing too, godbox. In fact, I like Andy Gibb's music and enjoy his other songs too like I Just Want To Be Your Everything, Love Is Thicker Than Water and Everlasting Love. I'm a self-confessed big 70s music fan. It was the other songs, Lovin' You and Come Sail Away, that I thought were cheesy and corny. I should have responded by saying that Matt and Trey sometimes have good taste when choosing songs for their show, especially tunes from the 70s which I enjoy like Shadow Dancing although Lovin' You and Come Sail Away are a bit corny.

I think it's great; you would never expect a bunch of third-graders to be singing the hits of 1977. I think it makes adults appreciate the show more (for those who like it)....Makes the show work on more than one level.
