Jimmy

Jimmy was just annoying, I think that goes without saying. He wasn't very funny, and reminded me a lot of a real life crippled female comic named Geri Jewell - she played a character named Geri Tyler back on the TV series "The Facts of Life". I remember her jokes were just pathetic, and people around me were laughing, and I could never understand why folks thought she was funny. Was it just because she had cerebral palsy? A joke is supposed to be funny, no matter who tells it. And sorry, but she wasn't ever funny.

No, but I remember the annoying cooper_jack. He really pissed me off, did nothing but whine and moan about South Park characters with cerebral palsy.

On a brighter note, FYI "Jimmy" was a one-time thing, a self-poke at their own product, making fun of the character of "Timmy."

Though the fight as a tribute to John Carpenter's "They Live" nearly blow-for-blow was quite good. That fight scene in "They Live" is one of the best fight scenes ever done in Hollywood.

You mean the movie with Rowdy Roddy Piper in it, where he and the other guy were practically wrestling in the alley so that Piper could have the other guy look through the special glasses?

Yes. Grab a copy of that movie, watch that scene, then re-watch the scene from last night's "South Park." It was pretty much blow-for-blow, including Jimmy giving Timmy a backbreaker, much like Piper does to David.

I remember seeing her on TFOL, and you're right; THERE she wasn't funny. However I got to see her on an actual stand-up show and she was just a bit funnier there. Geri also appeared on The Great Space Coaster and Sesame Street. On GSC, Gariddle Gorilla got mad at her for not doing something right he asked her to do (then gets barated by the others because she's handicapped), and on SS she played a video game with another human cast member and was the first one to beat him at it. I also got to see a comedian on TV who was deaf, or at least got deaf somewhere early on in her life, because she spoke almost perfectly, although you could hear tracings of slurring that you hear in the typical deaf person who tries to speak, but overall she did a good job, and she says she can see everyone laughing too. :-) That's cool. Ever notice Jimmy was "handicapable" too? What's with that word?

Good catch on the credits! I'd taped it on Wednesday, and stopped the tape right at the end, so I fired up the tape today and saw her name listed almost immediately on the credits. She's listed under "special thanks" at the very end. Out of curiosity, I confirmed this with South Park studios' web site: http://www.southparkstudios.com/behind/
