DYK from the You Got Served ep

I dig the goth kids. Nice to see them again. Not sure why they had to invent a new asian character to be the video game dancing whiz... there was an Asian kid on the dodge ball team they could have used... or maybe had it be someone unexpected like Timmy or Jimmy.

Loved the duck.

Anyway, a Did You Notice from last night: the arcade was called "Flynn's Sinistarcade". Flynn's is the arcade owned by Jeff Bridges' character in Tron - he later gets sucked into the computer world and hillariety ensues. Sinistar is an arcade game from around 1982 - 1984 which is not unlike Asteroids, but more challenging and with better graphics.

I think the black coach for the out-of-town kids' dance team may have been a reference to the "evil" karate coach in The Karate Kid. Always loved that guy. "We do not teach mercy here! Mercy is for the weak!"

It was a reference to Mr. Rad, Steve Harvey's character in "You Got Served," only Steve Harvey was the good coach in this movie.

BTW, "You Got Served" is currently #1 on the Bottom 100 list at IMDB.

Matt and Trey have an avid interest in pop culture. I remember seeing the commercial for You Got Served a few months ago, but of course I'd never go see a piece of garbage like that. They likely noticed that it was the worst and decided to watch it. I too can very easily see them watching it only for the purpose of making fun of it, and it probably went so far that they made an episode out of it "Pastor of Muppets" wrote in message news:[email]...
