Where the hell is he?
Chef
Why is he credited on every episode, regardless of whether he makes an appearance or not?

Well, he did make a brief apperance on last week's ep. Remember, he was looking through the window at the thompsons.
I must have blinked and missed that.
He was the very last one at the window of Kenny's place.
Oh yes, I remember now.

Did he say anything, though? Did Isaac provide the voice?
Nope, it was really just a cameo appearance.
Because he's .. Isaac Hayes! (Not to be confused with white dude composer Heinrich Isaac.)
He's the resident guest star. He filled in for Chef in the pilot when Barry White didn't respond. But he's appearing less and less...
He has had 3 eps where he talked this season. The shit ep, Scott Tenorman Must Die, and Proper Condom Use.
Hayes is a scientologist, and the Super Best Friends ep poked fun at his beliefs. Maybe that irked him a little? Proper Condom Use came out after that ep, so I guess he didn't get too offended.
There was a quick cameo by him last week in the window of the McCormick's house. Peeking in to see the ass faced people, but thats pretty much all I remember seeing of him since the the last ep he was speaking in.
I say he'll be back soon.

And doing the voice of the only black guy in a redneck mountain town wouldn't?

If theres one thing thats been proven, its that scientologists cannot take a joke. They usually follow up attacks against their beliefs through the legal system.
Racism isn't nearly as touchy a topic to blacks as religion is to scientologists.
And Token and his african american family also live in South Park, but they usually are excluded from most shows anyway.

Proven where? How? What you said has been discussed here before. Hell, off the top of my head I can point out the ending to Summer Sucks. Actually, you're just sounding seriously prejudiced against scientology. Not that they don't ask for it.
Umm, no they don't. Watch Cartman's Silly Hate Crime for details.
They really do. Remember those questionairres they leave out everwhere for people? Once just for fun I took it and mailed it in. I noticed how identical questions could elicit varied responses based on surrounding context. Anyway, they called me up and were real real real anxious for me to come on in. I told them to phone in their "evaluation." Of course they wouldn't. Finally one day I went in. What a joke! I mean, talk about a commercial venture! They told me nothing I didn't already know about myself but they shure wanted me to buy their stuff!
I really can't get too worked up about them though. If people arethat fucked up that only El Ron Hoober's stuff will help them, hey, it's like "Anyone who thinks he needs to see a shrink should have his head examined"!
Besdides this though, I remember a LIFE mag article ca. 1966 where they so freaked out the writer that you would have thought they goosed him with a cattle prod! Gee, al they did wa point out to him some of his own personal thoughts. What was that last line? Something like, "And I learned things about myself I wish I never had!" What a fucking DORK. He has that shit in his head alla time but he didn't "know" it so he was "happy"! HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!! LOOOOO-SSSSEEEERRRRRRRR!!!!!!
So, did you get the "clear"?
??
IIRC, the "clear" is the Scientologist's version of reaching Nirvana. It's from Elron's "Dianetics". See:

SNIP!! SNIP THAT PROMOTION OF ELRON!
I'll stick with SLACK.
I wasn't <shudder> promoting it, my good man.
I don't recall that episode making fun of scientologists (maybe a passing joke that I missed?). I do recall them poking fun at Mormons though (and not the first time by any means!).
