A perfect example of the religious fervor the doctrinaire libertarians bring to the discussion, *everything* is better privatized. One effect of privatization - a company finds a profitable niche, i.e., delivering packages, and concentrates on that. Show me a profit making concern which wants to deliver 1st class or bulk (junk) mail. I don't want everything nationalized, nor do I want everything privatized. From what I've been reading on another NG, deregulated truckers are hurting because of the run up in diesel prices - there's a groundswell to bring regulations back so they can count on certain rates. IMHO privatization often profits companies who can utilize economies of scale. Private citizens are seldom better off.
