That movie sucked, if anyone liked it they are a Donkey Fucker. Only a retard would slurp up such crud and I will tell U why, it is because of one scene.

The scene where Sadam and Satan are in hell and U can see Jerry Garcia in Hell. That part was ignorant, lame and just stupid. Of course Jerry went to heaven, duh. Don't even mess with that one.

If you did not leave the theatre when that scene came up, I say your whole life is worthless. You assholes are just Taco Humping Spewballs.

Fuck U all

Hey, I hear now that the Grateful Dead broke up, those people who used to be called 'deadheads' have been reclassified. They're now known as 'homeless people'.

Hey ratboy, the ex-members of The Dead have been doing shows for years. There is even a band headed by Bob Weir called RATDOG REVUE. Do not knock it if you know nothing about the music.

That movie was just in bad taste.

Are desperately trying to milk the cash cow for its last few drops.

See "Dick's Picks" for more info. Disgusting.

A shameless attempt to make a few more bucks by releasing inferior music to a fan base that doesn't seem to care.

I've been an on/off Dead fan since "Steal Your Face" in '76. So don't tell me what I know and don't know. I'm just not a blind "It's Dead, so it's great" kinda guy. Plenty of their music sucked.

Of course it was, but not for some silly Jerry Garcia reference.

"Dick's Picks" is a service to the Deadheads, to provide high quality live shows. There is no milking going on, Grateful Dead Productions exists to serve the Deadheads.

There is even a band headed by Bob Weir called RATDOG REVUE. A shameless attempt to make a few more bucks by releasing inferior music to a fan base that doesn't seem to care.

Shameless? Inferior music? Have you ever heard THE MAGIC that comes off the stage when Ratdog plays? Its incredible music.

The fans do seem to care, every day they trade tapes of live Ratdog shows, CDRs too. People post the setlists online and keep track of upcomming shows. They do seem to care, and they know GOOD MUSIC when they hear it.

I'm glad I proved you wrong.

Yeah, a service. He takes music that fans have been trading for free without a hassle for 30 years, puts it on a CD and sells it for $20 a pop. That's a nice service.

Grateful Dead Productions exists to squeeze every extra penny out of Dead fans that it possible can. Don't go spouting off like it's some sort of altruistic project "for the fans", because it isn't.

Compared to original Dead music, it's utter crap. An embarrassment, regardless of the "magic" that "comes off the stage."

Fans? Poor desperate fans who haven't let go of Jerry yet. They insist that the Dead live on, they buy the ripoff CDs from Dick, the accept the inferior music of Ratdog only because, "Hey, that guy used to be with the Dead, man. We *gotta* like it. Jerry would have wanted us to." The take on dumbass user names like "Jerry's Spirit". You know the type.

I just laughed so hard at you that a french fry came out of my nose.

What? That Deadheads will buy ANYTHING that has a logo on it?

The fact that Grateful Dead "American Beauty Body Wash and Beauty Lotion" even *exists* is a testament to the marketing idiocy that Dead fans are prone to fall for.

All the more reason for 'Dick' to package his 'picks' for $20 a CD. He knows plenty of people will buy it as long as he slaps a logo on it.

Look. Mr. Spirit. I'll continue to smack you around from one end of this newsgroup to the other if you wish, it's no big deal to me and to be honest, it's no great challenge either. Or if you decide to, you can either unsubscribe from the group and go on with your life, such as it is, or stop your silly yapping and start talking about the subject at hand. It's your decision.

The thing that outraged me (or was it cracked me up?) the most about The Grateful Dead was that while hundreds or thousands of these "Deadheads" actually lived their lives following the band around the country, doing what little jobs they could to get money to survive, the band members themselves were making millions, driving BMWs, and doing undoubtedly higher-grade drugs, all thanks to the drones that followed them and bought all the ancillary crap.

Except that quite a few of the Deadheads were rolling up in their own BMWs. One of the strangest things about the Dead was seeing all the business(wo)men who just happened to schedule meetings in whatever town the Dead were playing. All these suits with their ex-hippy napsacks as carryons, hotels full of people changing from suits to tie-die, or even better the expensive parking lots right next to the show full of expensive cars with discrete Deadhead stickers. Don Henley at least got one line right in his miserable career.

Jeremiah parents still have Deadhead stickers on all cars, and they're 55-57

Please tell me that this is a troll. Come on, even Ghandi is in Hell, and I don't think Jerry did quite as much good in his life. How many deadheads, a couple million? Compare that to 900 million Indians. It's going to take a lot more than another round of Sugar Magnolia to match that. Of course there is also Mr. Mackey's best line ever, when told to go to a Grateful Dead show, "I can't man, Jerry Berry's dead". As a second generation head, that just said it all. This has to be a troll, or maybe Mr Spirit ate some of the brown acid and it killed his sense of humor.

Jerry or whatever, will you cut this advertising SPAM you fucking piece of shit? We don't care at all, so just go away and leave us alone.

Your posts are considered quite mature, for a fucking 2 year old. Nobody seems to want you here, since all you do is advertise your site, message bomb this place, and call all of SP's fan's turd slurpers. Funny, if your not, or weren't, a fan, how come you went and saw the movie?

You are such a pathetic whinger. Remember how South Park made fun of Bob Sagget (funniest home videos)? Bob Sagget himself told an interviewer that he found SP's parody of him funny. He's actally a fan of the show now. But when they make fun of someone ELSE, you cry and moan and bitch. If something like that ruined the WHOLE movie for you, go see a frigging psychiatrist, cos you need one, badly.

Some people are just idiots who try to make everyone else miserable for no apparent reason. You appear to be one of them 'Jerry's Spirit'. Your are much worse than the boinger, even he spreads joy to more people than you do.

Like a grumpy old man once said, "Why don't you do the world a favour, and Put your lip over your head, and swallow"

But in Jerrys case I think he was the ridee and not the rider.

"Fuck you and the horse that rode in on you" would prolly be more accurate in this case.

Mark R. SPAM IS BAD, remove it from my E-Mail to reply! Some/most/all may be IMO, you figure it out and you may spell check it at your leasure.
Yup :-)

Jerry's Spirit, take note of some of the comments about YOU in this thread:

"let's leave the troll..." - Millasur "you shirt lifting, pig fucking, cock sucking piss-brain!" -Cowboy Bill "I'll sit back and laugh my ass off at you while Dave repeatedly verbally bashes the living shit out of you." -Wolfie "maybe Mr Spirit ate some of the brown acid and itkilled his sense of humor." -Jeremiah "Man, you're lame....." - Overlord "Hey, I hear now that the Grateful Dead broke up, those people who used to be called 'deadheads' have been reclassified. They're now known as 'homeless people'." -Dave "Fuck you and the horse you rode in on" -D.G.

People don't like you 'JERRY'S SPIRIT'. Grateful dead are LONG dead, and only dead people follow a fucking dead band. All they are doing now is scraping the last pennys out of the few fans that they still have, like you. You and all the others who can stand to listen to that crap.

Like i said 'Jerry's Spirit', its bleedingly obvious your not wanted here, or anywhere else, so fuck you, go and troll a tree or somethin, i dunno, just flaunt your dyslexia elsewhere. Them people here can concentrate on SOUTH PARK related topics once all the trolls are gone rather than spending all their time replying to them. M'kay!

Hold on: We're flaming someone and I've got the tamest thread!?

Be RIGHT Back! :)

The term is "Horse Fucker", thank you very much... :-)

I'm not going to resort to name calling -- partly becuase it's rude and doesn't help anything, and partly because I'm just not creative enough for it....

You saw who else was in Hell, right? George Burns & Ghandi were both there.

The point was that, in many Christian concepts of hell, even a peacelover like Ghandi would have to go there because he didn't believe in what people would call the Christian God.

The Jerry Garcia reference wasn't a slam on Jerry, but instead a much bigger slam on what I see as Christianity's exclusion mentality and distaste for other religions and ideologies (which had even been alluded to way back with Ike's bris).

THAT debate, however, is much bigger and uglier than anything about the Grateful Dead, so I won't be adding onto it any more.

Seeya, Leland (proud to say that my mom saw the movie on the afternoon it opened!)

Thanks for the URL, this was terrific. I've been reading a lot lately about autopsies, so it was great to be stepped through one. Very informative.

:Dies: Dude I had to put almost a dozen of those Jerry dolls on display at my old job =)
