New newsgroup

Does anyone agree with me that there should be another newsgroup made for southpark? This one is completely overflowing, i can't keep up. AP

That sounds like a good idea on the surface, except for two things.

Some discussions will naturally overlap, and once the hubbub over the movie dies down, so will the 2nd newsgroup. Besides, I've been a part of a 'separate but similar newsgroups' fiasco and basically what ends up happening is everything gets crossposted to both groups anyway. Oh, and there may also be a whole bunch of "that doesn't belong here" responses to borderline posts which turn into additional off-topic discussions/arguments about what belongs where and why.

Trust me, it's a mess. Just ride out the storm of posts created by the release of the movie, and by this time next month this ng will be back to where it was before the movie came out.
