But, overall,..........these last two episodes were still not up to the south park standards. A few chuckles,...but no jokes worth repeating at the office tomorrow. I know the "mohammed catoon" thing hit between the seasons, but airing it now after months, is just lame.

Let's just hope next weeks show is not part 3 of this theme.

I thought they did a good job, they managed to make a perfect comment on the situation. I especially liked how they duplicated the Terrance and Phillip special presentation from Season 2, making us think the promise of a sequel was a joke but then worked a censored Mohammed into it before cutting back to the regular show.

If Comedy Central really did censor Mohammed, will they still put it in the DVD or will it remain like the self-imposed beeps?

Besides, if Comedy Central would have pulled the scene, I doubt that the disclaimer would have looked like it had been designed by the South Part staff. Now how soon before there are protests over the show pooping all over the American flag?

(And since the manatees never did get their idea balls back, doesn't this mean that no more new episodes of FG will be written? Or is it a matter of time before somebody figures out that they can outsource the job to Canadians?)

You're right, he did. I just saw a screen capture of it and Mohammed is right there. Looks like CC didn't censor anything, it was just part of the plot. Which is kind of silly, because CC is probably going to get undeserved complaints.

But think that if they would have shown Muhammad, the animation at the very end with Matt, Trey, Bush, Jesus and other people would have made much less sense than it did, wouldn't it? So I think it was put up in the last minute or something. Definitely Mohammed was *not* supposed to appear in the episode - the question is is whether it was due to Comedy Central censoring the episode *after* completion, or telling the Writing Staff *before* the production even started that they won't allow Mohammed to be shown, so Matt & Trey have incorporated the black screen into the general plot.

I'm still waiting for an official Comedy Central response, besides "In the light of current events we feel that we made the right decision" and a word from Matt & Trey. I know some reliable sources have spoken on that, but just remember the buzz about Isaac Hayes - there were some inconsistent informations quoted by large media as well.

This was the pussing out that they spoke of in part 1, it was a very easy guess that comedy central would pull it and force them to run a censored airing.

I think they censored it on purpose so that immediately thereafter they could show something intended to offend Americans to prove a point of some sort, like it's ok for us to offend you, and you can apparently take it, but it's not ok to offend Muslims who aparently can't take it.
