Anyway... a troll is a person who comes into a newsgroup and posts an "anti-" message to generate inflammatory posts... for example, someone might go into a vegetarian NG and post "veggies suck! meat rules" or a christian might go into the Satanic NG and post a bunch of bible/Jesus tripe.

Basically, they're people with too much free time, and who generally hjave some sort of mental problem. They don't get enough attention, and decide to post things to piss people off, then sit back and giggle to themselves, mistakenly thinking how clever they are.

Trolling is ample reason to complain to a poster's ISP and have their internet account restricted or removed.

There's also spamming, which involves inundating a newsgroup with ads for web sites or commercial products.

A troll is a very, very evil thing. It's basically someone who tries to piss people off on purpose (AKA a cyber-asshole.)

You don't ask for FAQs to be mailed to you. Sometimes a group's FAQ is posted to its newsgroup at intervals; more often the FAQ is on a web site, which you visit to read the FAQ. In the case of South Park, there is more than one FAQ in existence. To my knowledge none of them are posted on the newsgroup, but the first South Park FAQ was, and still is, located at <http://www.adequate.com/SouthPark/>. I don't know whether this is the best of the FAQs, or even if it's current.

To find other FAQs, put the words "South Park FAQ" (in quotes) into a web search engine and check some of the links it turns up. If you don't know how to use a web search engine, ask your Internet provider where you can learn how.
