City Episode

Shitty chicken, shitty beef, not the shitty shrimp, but once again, a shitty episode.

Watching the comet cult episode first made it really look city...

I tried really hard to like it, I really did. But the best I could give it is a C-, and only that high because they tried something new (using sound clips from an actual singer instead of parodying one.)

I thought the episode was pretty good. Had some funny moments too especially when City Wok was ravaged.

I liked the episode too. I don't really see anything wrong so far with the new season. I'm still getting used to Mr./Mrs. Garrison as a woman with a mans head. I kinda wish they'd change him back. Mr. Garrison for all of his perversions has had some good episodes. Remember when he drove Rosie O' Donnel out of his class? Or the time that he blasted all of the parents in the Museum Of Tolerance for failing to understand why their kids were having a problem? He always seemed to stick up for the school kids. Still, the new Garrison has some interesting possibilities.

The vandalism at the City Wok reminded me of so many Starsky & Hutch episodes where Starsky and Hutch would get a perp into the interrogation room, and try to intimidate them by making loud noises and knocking books off of the shelves. If this had been a real gangster movie, the Chinese Mafia would be beating the hell out of the City Wok manager. :-)

The "s(h)itty wok (beef, chicken)" joke can be a nice drop, but the reliance on the joke was old when they did it years ago. A bit funnier was his horribly angry tone when addressing wing. I also liked when the boys were trying to sign token and cartman did the bad sterotype black voice in the "you might ask yourself..." bit.

Overall, weak. All three episodes of the new season have been below average overall, with the hippie episode clearly the best of the three. Sure, there have been bad episodes before, but this set of three is by far the weakest group in sp history.

Perhaps the long anticipated return of lemmiwinks and a highly offensive schiavvo take off episode can redeem things...
