Both candidates thanked the host and spectators at every debate...it was an obvious suckup and I can't believe that it works, but I suppose the weak-minded are impressed by that.

All I can say is I practically had a heart attack when I watched it Friday night. I was still spasming with laughter for several hours afterwards and had a hard time getting to sleep. Man, that was the fucking FUNNIEST episode they've ever done. I did have trouble deciding which one was Kerry and which was Bush, I think the two are so interchangable that either could apply. But I personally prefer Bush as the Turd Sandwich.
