Did anyone notice the new 1-800-COLLECT spot?

On Saturday night during the 2 AM showing of Ike's Wee Wee, I saw a new South Park sponsor tag. Remember the old Magic The Gathering sponsor tag? Now there's a 1-800-COLLECT sponsor tag with Mr. Garrison (with Mr. Hat) wearing a Viking helmet (What's that all about?). Too bad I didn't have the VCR running for that one but I'm sure it'll be repeated again soon during one of the South Park episodes.

I haven't seen it. But the way you described it, it sounds so shameless! That Viking hat HAD to have some meaning. I mean, it seems so unlike Trey and Matt to just kiss ass even if they're promoting something. Then again having Mr. Garrison represent a product isn't exactly a GOOD thing. They probably wouldn't let them put Kenny in after the "Magic" incident.

I agree though, Magic the Gathering is dumb! My brother bought tons of cards,
and where are they now? Messing up my bedroom floor...uughhhh.

On Sunday's midnight showing of Ike's Wee Wee on the East Coast, they repeated the new 1-800-COLLECT sponsor tag featuring Mr. Garrison (with Mr. Hat) wearing a Viking helmet. The spot goes something like this:

Mr. Garrison: South Park is brought to you by 1-800-COLLECT.

Mr. Hat: That's right. It's the easy way to save.

For those of you on the West Coast, check this new sponsor tag out at midnight and have your VCRs running so you can add this spot to your South Park collection before it becomes a rare item like the Magic The Gathering sponsor tag from last year.
