it really sucked. If I wanted to watch a freaking musical I'd have watched Oklahoma. It seemed to me that the music was mainly filler to cover for the weak plot. I actually fell asleep twice while watching it. I will admit that parts were actually funny (ie... the ping pong ball scene).
I Finally watched BLU and.......

What was amazing to me is the friends that I went with were complaining afterward about "the fucking musical parts". These were the same Marklars who starting using phrases like "Uncle Fukka," "Don't say shit, say poo," and "Blame Canada!" only days after seeing the movie.
Uh, hello? Where did those phrases come from? Oh yeah, "the fucking musical parts" of the movie.

this was no troll just an honest review. I don't recall reading anything relating to this movie being a toon musical. I actually enjoy the Muppets singing better, especially the Swedish Chef. Actually I was expecting a 1.5 - 2 hr. tv show. I love SP but I was sorely disappointed w/the movie.
No wonder. The movie wasn't a 2 hour tv show, it was a friggin' MOVIE! If you decide what you're going to like before you see something, the only stuff you'll like is the seriously bland.
let me put it this way..... when the movie 1st came out it was damn near 50/50 in this ng on who liked the movie and who were disappointed. I decided to reserve my judgment until I saw it for myself. I deliberately tried to avoid reviews as to not taint veiws beforehand. A movie is a movie and a musical is a musical. I wanted the former not the later. Total disappointment. A song here & there would've been no big deal but I was deluged with them in BLU. If I knew that this were a musical beforehand I would've saved myself a few $$. I'm really looking forward to seeing Ahhhhhnolds new movie End of Days, but I'll really be pissed if there is singing every 5 mins (as w/BLU). I wanted to watch a movie, not a damned musical!!!

Matt and Trey indicated in several interviews before the moive came out that it would be a full-blown musical, and it was a good one to boot. And the plot?don't get me started. It was way more complex than any sp ep....and it was NOT dissapointing. In fact,i'm about to buy the DVD,even without the extras.Once again, good troll...you may have not noticed it as one,but the replies don't lie.

What are you trying to say Jack??? How long did it take you to think up your reply (3 hrs)? You sound like a pissed 16 yr old. It's like w/all things either you love em' or you hate em'. I like SP but I don't like ALL (SP) episodes. I liked Orgazmo but thought that only parts of Baseketball were worth watching and I thought that BLU downright sucked. I did get a chuckle out of Wynona Ryder and loved the shooting of Bill Gates. I'm not a mark for ALL that Matt & Trey do, unlike you. I think that you're sooooo in love w/them that you would let them use your tongue as toilet paper if they requested it of you. It seems to me that if anyone speaks ill of Matt or Trey you cry sacrilege! Remember....... even Spielberg & Lucas put out stinkers.

your reply has no validity. As to myself, I only hit this ng for about 5 mins if you're inferring that I spend ALL of my time online. I know that Jack doesn't spend a lot of time online (except weekends), he is still in high school after all. So that was a quote from BLU, this proves that he has no life if he has this crap memorized (as you also do). You remind me of brain dead Trekies who know every line to every episode. What are you going to do next, quote me Data's "Ode to Spot"??? Wrestling terminology? I guess you are indeed correct but.... a mark is still a mark. Evidently you are also familiar with wrestling terminology. Pot calling the kettle black hm? As to Matt & Trey being cute..... I'll leave that to "you guys". It's hard to not know it was a musical. It was known way back when they were still making the film... They had compared it to "an r-rated disney movie" from the start, including all of the musical numbers.

Didn't you know though, that it would be a musical? I mean, didn't you read any of the countless reviews from movie critics who said that it was a musical? And I take it that you never even looked at the soundtrack track list and noticed that the characters in the show sing, which indicates that the movie was a musical? In other words, I just am curious as to know how you could not have received not even a sliver of a clue that the movie would be a musical.
