Best Season of Southpark?

Howdy,
	I was just curious what everyone thought was the best season
for Southpark, and why?  200 words or more... single spaced:)
	Seriously, though, in my personal opinion, it would be a toss
up between season 3 and 4.  Most of the funniest episodes occured
during those 2 seasons.  Season 3 would probably be the winner,
because it's more consistant throughout.... course, season 4 had that
winning Pip episode.

I go for season 2: - It contains the best episode ever (personal opinion): Cartmans mam part II - It contains the episode that created the most agitations: Not without my anus - Average quality of the episodes is great - Also 2e second still has the touch of the early days: most characters were more naive, storylines more simple, Cartman was not the evil mind he's now but just an anoying 8-year old... I miss those things in the current episodes. Episodes now are a little overdone (certainly in the 6th season).

Hell yeah. I'm sick of everyone praising seasons 5 and 6 as being so amazing. They're good and all, but 2-4 were definitely better. It seems lately that each episode has to have a gimmick... some new thing that will gross people out/offend everyone/shock people/etc. After the initial shock of foul mouthed 8 year olds, they never seemed to need those gimmicks earlier on, or at least it wasn't quite as blatant as it is nowadays.

Don't get me wrong... I still watch every new episode faithfully, and laugh my ass off, but the show's just missing something it had a few seasons back. Then again, we haven't seen a Christmas episode since season 4. Maybe that's all I'm missing =P

if you set a limit on words it wouldnt matter whether it was single spaced or not
