We need more adult animation...

... and I'll tell you why. For over 30 years Disney has dominated the animation business, creating such masterpieces as Pinocchio to pieces of crap, from live action (Air Bud) back to animated (A Goofy Movie). And frankly, I am so sick of this generic kiddy crap at the movies. Have there been any R-rated animated films (besides Anime, which I love) in the past few years? We need some entertainment solely for adults, too. The re-release of "American Pop" will satisfy some, but we need more!

Thankfully we have South Park on TV, along with Spawn: The Series on HBO. But is that all there is to it? Is the film industry afraid to release an R-rated cartoon because it might attract kids? Next year our prayers will be answered with the South Park film, truly a step ahead of family crap. True, a film doesn't have to be R-rated to be good, but there ARE NO good family films that can satisfy animation buffs as well. Might as well run over to Suncoast, pick up "Akira", and sit down on the couch for some good Japanese adult entertainment. Questions, comments, and criticism is welcome, just don't crucify me! :)

You took the words right out of my mouth. I'm sick and tired of when ever there is an animated movie or what not people are almost always saying "Oh its animated so its must be for kids"

Anyway does anyone know the name of an adult animated movie that had a wizard, his evil brother, and a fairy? All I remember was at the end the movie the wizard is talking to his brother and says "Mom taught me this trick when you weren't around you know I'm glad you changed you name you bastard" then he pulls out a gun and kills him.

That sounds like "Wizards" by Ralph Bakshi. A classic animated movie. He's done some other animated movies as well, but that's the most well known of the bunch, and the best of 'em too.

well you didnt mention the mother of all adlut animation HEAVY METAL which has a sequel coming out sooner or later called F.A.K.K or somthing like that. the japense looked at heavy metal and said darn thats good and copied its style resuling in the anime we have today.
