It wouldn't be so bad if different people pronounced it differently, but Garth himself keeps alternating between the two pronunciations.

So many SP episodes have continuity errors that I suspect it's deliberate. Matt and Trey probably do it just to see how much time obsessive fans are willing to waste on finding and documenting those errors.
