South Park is not now nor has it ever been toilet humor. It is one of the single most enlightened social commentaries yet to appear on American television
Again you proove that your title of "stupid, humorless twit" was earned and not given. The animation is part of the commentary. Cardboard cutouts, paper thin characters with gross over generalizations. Getting a clue yet?

No, I don't believe I will. You don't get it. You probably never will. This is your problem. I say that South Park is brilliant in its deconstruction of pop culture, outrageous in its ability to offend all equally and a godsend in a world quickly losing its grip.

Your ASSumptions again bite you on the ass. You are not supposed to be feel any level of great emotional involvment with the characters presented on South Park. Okay. So Ren And Stimpy, a show that would epitomize "toilet humor" is better than South Park because... you say so? Openminded, aren't we?

okay here it is
cartman mistakes rainbows for something that climbs up your leg and bites the inside of your ass
when stan and kyle question him he notices that no one else has every had someone/thing bite the inside of their ass and is embarrased he then tries to cover it up and change the subject
just think people there is no double meaning or anything just commons sense

To refresh everyone's memories, Trey & Matt said they heard a little girl saying something about how she hated rainbows one day and decided to do something with it. It doesn't acutally mean anything. My pet theory, however, is that Cartman is talking about gay people. Rainbow = gay symbol, bite the inside of your ass, he hates them since he's conservative.....
uh, actually, in an interview at some university with Matt and Trey, they admitted that it really was nothing. just a joke to fill in space. That was my valley girl impression!
(NOTE: the above makes no sense whatsoever. God did not give us american's rights. The Constitution did...therefore it's our American right. Just like its an american right to watch a show by two people with a God-given talent. See the difference? I knew that you could! Back to the post)
That right...watch more quality programming, like The Facts of Life! Sure it's in reruns, but hey where else can you watch a show about girls?? drool!
I know I should actually turn the TV on when I watch South Park, but I believe in visual osmosis...I just put my hand on the TV and feel the humor...well actually, last time I tried, the force of the electrucion I received shot me through the back wall of my house...Damn, that hurt!
In fact I can do better...in fact maybe I will. The moment I decide to scrape myself off the couch and get some pencils and paper...I'll show you. Little bastards!
Reminds me of how I was when I was young...huffed glue, wrestled my friend wearing bras, had some fat broad give me a cavity search...really cool man!
Or The Young Ones, Bottom, Men Behaving Badly, 90210, 60 minutes, or America's Funniest Home Videos...man that Bob Saget is hilarious!
Mainly becasue I think the aroma emulating from inside my house may cause anyone to go into immediate convulsions. I tried an exorcism once but the priest just found a wall with "You really think WE'RE to blame for this????" in blood enscribed.

On a side note...For those that don't know...Southpark won the cable ace award for best animated series beating out Freakazoid, Dr Katz, and Johnny Bravo...Beavis and Butthead wasn't even nominated...plus, the Christmas Episode was the highest rated cable show on comedy central, beating it's own record for the Thanksgiving episode(pulling over a 5.0 share)...so they must be doing something right...

while it may have gained comedy central's highest ratings ever, how many of those who tuned in recognize the show for its satire and parody, and how many of those tuned in "just cuz it's gross and sick and rulez and stuff"?
go ahead and praise south park for what it is, but i don't see how citing cable ace award wins or high nielsen ratings can support your viewpoint in terms of the show's quality.

Plus, it's always an honor to win an award...and as far as Cable goes, the Cabe Ace award is pretty prestigious(sp)...also when you look that a rookie show like SouthPark that had only been on for like two moths beat out other shows that had been around the block a few times says they're doing something right...and hey, 4.5 million viewers (the equivalent to the 5.4 rating it got) maust see something in it...
And let us not forget something I've said all along and has proven true time and time agian, controversy sparks interest...The more people complain about how wrong South Park is...the more interest it is going to spark. Matt and Trey know this and that's probably why SP is always going more and more over the edge...I myself watch it mainly too see what they are going to pull this time around....and for Kenny, but that's another thing...

The quality of posts made by proponents of South Park speaks volumes about the intelligence level of it's viewers.... I fear none of them will ever be President of the United States...
Listen up. 1st: I'm a Christian 2nd: I am completely 100% Non-Racist 3rd: I believe in family values, also 100%
4th: I love South Park. For anyone to watch this show and not see the humor in it would mean that person is devoid of any sense of humor. The entire premice of the show is hilarious. I've watched the Christmas special over and over and laugh at so many things in it. To those who thinks the show is garbage and for those of low intelligence: Get a Life and Get out of the SPNG.

Southpark is indeed the most disgusting and socially non politically correct program to come on television in years. It is also the most fun to watch of all the garbage on T.V. If you can't laugh at it then you have no sense of humor as well as personal problems you need to work out. I've had it up to here with P.C. and so have the creators of South Park. That is why the show is great and why it receives such high ratings.

I don't know if you were talking about me but I think South Park is hillarias. The obsenities are funny because of the way they are delivered. The politically incorrect stuff is great because everyone and everything is fair game. I don't find it, so far as I've only seen two eps, anywhere near as disgusting as some Ren & Stimpy cartoons. That didn't stop me from loving that show though. I think SP blows away most witty, risque cartoons including R & S, all the stupid R & S clones, Beavis & Butthead, or even Animaniacs which used to be my favorite. The only thing that can come close to cause me to laugh as hard as SP is Timon & Pumba. Another thing great about SP is that for some reason I care about these characters. They seem to have some kind of humanity about them. I don't know the same way people care about Bambi I guess. I think they have a lot more depth to them than most animated characters. Maybe I'm going a little overboard I don't know I just like the show. No kitty, that's mah chicken pot pah!
