The parts of this ep with Jim/Timmy were brilliant. Esp when the gang kids were talking. But the Christopher Reeve parts were silly and annoying. Especially the Hackman stuff. I bet the real Reeve never saw it.

I disagree with your Christopher Reeve/Gene Hackman assessment , but since humor is subjective, I'm not going to argue about it. However, Christopher Reeve was the catalyst for the whole "crippled by birth or crippled by accident" debate that set up the whole episode.
