I've been finding myself looking forward to Butters and Timmy more. (Butters had some great lines in the NAMBLA episode, referring to his body as "my fragile person" -- that's a new term I'll be using!) In the last episode when Stan, Kenny, Butters and Timmy were shown together briefly as a group, I actually thought, I could see episodes being done where the standard group line-up (Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny) is changed up every so often.
What does everybody else think?

Just as long as they don't overuse him or put him in any unsuitable situations. One can only take so much of the "TIMMAH!" sound, before it starts to get repetitive and annoying. I also wonder why did they have to drag him into the kids' plot to steal Cartman's kidney? As if someone like him can make enough sense of the situation to participate.
They've been overusing him from the start. Exactly, why do they feel the need to put him in every episode? All he does is ride around in his wheelchair and yell his name. He's gotta be the most annoying character Trey and Matt have ever created.

Good ideas...my idea is that Matt & Trey actually meant what they said in the moral of the main Timmy episode (and the Conjoined Fetus one as well) that handicapped and/or retarded people, etc. -- they want to be treated as much like the rest of us as possible. Yes, Timmy just says his name, but he is accepted by the other kids as pretty much just another kid. I think that's cool. Yes, he has differences, and it's okay to laugh (or not). To have him in a couple episodes and then have him disappear -- that would go against the idea of normalcy for his character; we *should* see Timmy every now and then, especially just in passing -- since he is just one of the kids. It wasn't necessary to have him in the last episode, but so what? Are we supposed to think about the unfortunate a couple times and then sweep them under the rug?
Very well put. I use a wheelchair myself, and I like the fact that Timmy is just around. We disabled folk are around, so, you gotta deal with us. Great post Bao!

Timmay has to be my fav character nowadays. I like to pissed myself when they were sneaking into cartman's house to steal his kidney and timmay screamed his name and stan told him to quiet down and then he wispered. That was truly brilliant. I think alot of us here are wanting our humor fed to us on a plate. The fact that Matt and Trey can use this one character who is limited by his mobility and speaking ablilty in so many differnet ways is pure genius. I've read a few comments on character replacments and what-not. Why do people have to be replaced or lost? The episodes have different plots that require different characters. It's as simple as that. Pip would be stupid for sneaking to steal a kidney. Butters is perfect because he is so impressionable. Wendy has had no place in some of the episodes so it only makes sense that she isn't in the episodes.
Dude, Timmy ruins the show.

Timmah is so wonderful becuase he lives a fully functional life just like everyone else. Sure he just says TIMMAAH, but all the other kids accept him and that's all that matters. Well, the funny thing about humor is that it is so personal. Either something is funny to someone, or it isn't. And explaining it doesn't usually make something funny. At least, not to me, and not in this case.
