TONIGHT"S EPISODE

I thought it was a neat and great episode. I though theo whole homage of animated Xmas specials, plus Charlie Manson was a unique twist. Here's some things I didn't understand...

-Cartman's sleeping bag doesn't have Erkel on it.

That's it. I guess this episode never puzzled me on bit. I do wish they've finished the last song at the end however, I didn't mind Stan's regular "fucked up" remark, but they could've least had the last line of the song (after Stan's line) dubbed over the Braniff logo before the CC tag. That's my improvememt for this episode.

The reason why didn't let them finish the last song, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, in last night's South Park episode was because it was a parody of A Charlie Brown Christmas where the Peanuts gang's voices were faded out at the end when they were singing the same song the South Park gang was singing. Last night's episode also paid homage to other holiday classics such as Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas and It's A Wonderful Life.

Up until then, my favorite parady was on SNL, where they revealed a "lost ending" to the movie. In it, they're singing at the end and celebrating, etc, when someone comes in out of breath, announcing he discovered that the mean old man had stolen the money and framed George Baily. At this point, the crowd turned into an angry lynch mob and stormed the old man's place and beat the crap out of him (Even his wife and kid got a few kicks in when he was down).
