1. In the closing credits, they list Trey and Matt as writers of the episode, but they also have a seperate list of "writers" and "creative consultants", how/how much do they contibute to the episode? I'm also asking based on the fact that Norman Lear is credited as a "consultant".
2. On the subject of SP "writers", whatever happened to Nancy Pimental? I know she wrote the Cameron Diaz movie THE SWEETEST THING, and that was enough to make her disappear of the face of the Earth.
The better question is, why are the writers called consultants now? I suppose it's because Lear is among them now.
Pimental left at the end of season 5, probably to pursue other projects.

There are several different ways to write scripts for shows. Not sure how Trey and Matt do it, but I'd assume that they lord over the work a bit more heavy-handed manner and are still the most contributing factor in the final script for each show. I don't mean that in any sort of bad way. It adds a lot to the continuity and the quality of each episode.
