Does Anyone one know if the spirit of christmas, either one is available for purchase anywhere.

or you could wait for the "south park" dvd. according to matt and trey (although well all know they've been known to lie on occasion) "the spirit of christmas" in it's entirety will be included in the "bonus" footage. i don't know if it'll be both of them, all i know is that santa/jesus will be included.

until then, go to crap (www.crapcrapcrap.com) and watch both of them on real video.

Oh yeah: As for the *sucky* version... I've looked into it, please correct me if I'm wrong.

There is a low quality one - these are both Frosty VS Jesus (the TRUE SOXMAS) (sprit of xmas)

but there is also one where Santa fights Jesus? But I don't know about this one, all I know is that the version on the site is correct because we got it from the OFFICIAL mirror. (Which sadly isn't updated anymore). SOXMAS (the one we have) is the version that was used on the Christmas cards.

Please any experts out there correct me or put me straight because now I'm confused!

The "Spirit Of Christmas" we are all familiar with is the one Trey and Matt made for Brian Graden in 1995, the one that made it onto "Spike and Mike's Sick And Twisted Festival of Animation," the one George Clooney made 700 copies of, the one that led to "South Park," the one in which Jesus fights Santa for bragging rights over Christmas.

But before this one, they made the sucky one you saw. This one they came to call "Frosty." This one they made in college in 1992. A history of it was given in the 1998 U.S. Festival of Comedy Arts in Aspen and was presented along with "American History" and "Spirit of Christmas." In this one, the boys build a snowman which comes to life and tries to kill them one by one. The boys have no names in this one, except for Kenny, who looks just like Cartman here. Frosty kills Kenny, then the hooded kid. The remaining two look for Jesus, whom they find in the manger. Baby Jesus goes after Frosty and slices him to bits with the halo, then returns to the manger. Graden saw this one and asked Trey and Matt to make him an updated version, the "Spirit of Christmas!"

About 18 months ago, I began to call them "The Spirit of Christmas: Jesus vs. Frosty" and "The Spirit of Christmas: Jesus vs. Santa" just to avoid confusion for myself.

Since then, these titles have become the predominant ones for the shorts.

I have scripts for both versions, so check them out.
