I am only going to post my opinion once. This will not flame anyone, it will only express what I thought of Episode 202 in a subtle way:
THAT WAS THE FUNNIEST GODDAMN THING I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!
Um, thanks. (For all of you calling me a newbie and telling me to take the
caps off after this, that was a JOKE! Dost thou understand? Good.)
~~~WARNING: WEIRD THOUGHTS AHEAD~~~~
My review of the new episode (aren't you people SOOO happy to hear my South
Park philosophy? What's next, the Meaning of Life?):
Dusk. From the moment I left the abombination (I can't spell) known as
school, my heart has been pounding. Who is he?! I need to knoooow!! Who is
Cartman's father?!
Alright, I wasn't THAT hysterical. Not until the last hourbefore the
episode, anyway. I had a secret fear I was going to go into shock and die
without ever knowing who Cartman's father was (not to mention if they ever told
you or not). I also had a secret fear I had been brainwashed (if you really
think about it, who GIVES a damn?).
10:00. I prepare the water for the South Park drinking game (what did you
expect, wine? I'm only...well...I'm not telling you that, you'll flame me out
of the newsgroup). I gaze at the TV screen. And it begins.
I laughed from the start. "This feels like the longest minute of my life."
Ah, how he speaks the truth. Week upon week waiting in suspense, plus that
Terrance and Phillip thing, but I'm getting off the subject. The re-appearence
of Kenny (well, folks, the logic is partially explained to you) and his
shouting of 'Oh my God, they killed Mephesto!' is altogether too hilarious. My
friend, who I was on the phone with as we both watched, laughed like a loon, as
did I. The episode proceeded.
More parodies than I can count, some of which I couldn't identify, appeared.
Trey and Matt needed something big for this. Something hilarious. And they
did a good job.
Not to mention the countless unanswered questions that plagued the mind of
the announcer. "Who shot Mephesto? Who keeps fiddling with the lights? Who
died and made Jimbo boss? Who framed Roger Rabbit?" "Man, he's starting to
piss me off." Once again, Eric Cartman states the truth.
But the ending, which some said sucked (come ON, what did you expect?)
dropped me where I sat, or stood, or whatever. Mephesto's constant
interruption ("Did anyone see that Terrance and Phillip episode last week?
That was hilar-" "Read the name already!") leading to the answer (whoda thunk,
save that genius who hit the nail on the head), to the final question, which
will lay unanswered (and after all this, I doubt few give a damn):
Who is Eric Cartman's mother? Is it..Ms. Crabtree (I hope not!) or is
it..Sheila Broflofski (I'd LOVE to see that. "You mean, my mom is that
bitch...Kyle is my half-brother..and I'm a half-Jew...NOOOOO!")..or is it the
Mayor (uuugh!)? "Ah, forget it!" Cartman's 3rd statement of the obvious. I
don't care anymore.
This incident, it's influcence on the media, and the comments of many fans,
suprised me. South Park has a great influence, to make so many people care so
much about a piece of cardboard. Wait, I ent through this already, didn't I?
Yes, I did. Nevermind. To sum it up, it was cool. And funny. And stuff.
End of story.
