I know that Stan is supposed to have been based on Trey, whose parents are named Randy and Sharon, and whose sister is named Shelley (sound familiar?), and Kyle is supposed to be based on Matt, whose parents are named Gerald and Sheila. Since Kyle's mother IS named Sheila, it could be. . .

Any opinions?

I think it would be more interesting to figure out their last name. For the longest time I thought Kyle's last name was "Wolpie" (because in Death, kyle's mom addresses him as Kyle Wolpie).

No, Kyle's mom calls him Bubbie in the Christmas episode, which is, indeed, a Jewish term of affection.

But if you watch the Death episode, when Kyle's mom catches him watching Terrence and Phillip, she says:

"Kyle Wolpie, what are you watching?" (or something to that effect).

I thought that was his last name for the longest time...

So the family has Polish roots. Whatever. My question then becomes, is Wolpie Kyle's middle name? Or is it some term of endearment? What the hell?

I don't know where this Volpie stuff is coming from, but Kyle's mother called him 'bubie' - Yiddish for 'baby'. And, isn't Mr. Broslofsky's name Morris?

Just noticed at the end of the Christmas show that Jesus is wearing a party hat inside his halo. Nice touch.
