Trey and Matt have answered my prayers!

A little while back, I posted to this newsgroup the following article:

Okay, so bonking an adult woman in the confession booth isn't quite the same as molesting a child (we already have a regular sexual deviant in Mr. Garrison), but it does provide a good knock against the church for the sexual impropriety committed by its representatives who sanctimoniously and hypocritically proclaim the utmost "purity" and preach against such sins. This leaves me wondering if Trey and Matt and other program contributors regularly read this newsgroup and pick up some ideas from it.

I also recall posting an article further back suggesting that they should make an episode making fun of the Pope, since he's such a key religious figurehead with a large and devout following, whose mockery is bound to spark a huge controversy.

I KNEW that you'll get a kick out of this episode. Besides, Priest Maxi has already been shown to have a bad side (remember the Korn episode?).

I do have a question. What's with you and pedophilic priests anyway? You weren't a victim or knew someone who was one, were you? Just asking.

Not a victim myself or know of any personally, but isn't it about time somebody made a brave, bold knock against the institution that is regarded with the highest esteem amongst society's religious conservatives, who are natural enemies to shows like South Park and other forms of conservatively noncompliant entertainment, and free expression in general? Isn't it nice to finally see somebody touch on a subject matter what was previously off-limits for no justifiable cause, and dwell on the failures and hypocrisies of this self-proclaimed bastion of holiness, and the atrocities and the violations of its own "holy" principles that take place within it? Not to mention that child molestation is a very, very heinous and despicable crime.

Besides, we have to remind the young people that whatever the older generations hold so dearly are neither hip nor cool...or at the very least, to view them with a critical eye.
