Jeopardy

Did anyone see Jeopardy tonight? (10/2) The first round catagory was "The Simpsons" Shame it was a bunch of lobbed soft ball questions,

"Mmmm... Unprocessed Fish Sticks, and MMM... Solyent Green, are expressions by this Simpsons main character" (200 bucks)

"This New Radio Actor did the voice of Troy McClure, who stared in such films as 'Dial P for Psycho'" (400 bucks)

I dont remember this question for 600 bucks if it comes to me i'll post it later

"This man owns the nuclear power plant in springfield, and (i dont remember the rest of it, something about another name for a meltdown)" (800 bucks)

"This cat and mouse team stars in such cartoons as "Skinless in Seattle" and "Germs of Endearment" (1000 bucks)

It was the last catagory picked on that round, and the winner of the show really acted like the catagory was beneith her.

Did they get them right? It seems that the Brainiacs on Jeopardy do fine on stuff like "physics" and "presidents underwear". But basic pop culture stuff seems to blow right by them.

I can see why they were easy questions (of course, I thought even the Beat the Geeks questions were sort of easy), though more "literate" categories seem to get more specific. They did get them all right, and I definitely agree that the woman didn't seem to appreciate having to pick them (once there was nothing else).

Do you mean from Beat the Geeks or from Jeopardy? The Jeopardy ones were posted, but I have all the BTG questions somewhere on my computer.
