do you think they'll change the email address in syndication?

they didn't in the rerun. they'll probably either stop replying or just cancel the address..btw, do they still reply?

he did say it in the rerun last week, that's why i asked.

I looked up the profile for Chunkylover53 on AOL and found the following:

Anyone know what "sol.151" might be?

I would say that somebody from the writing staff is maintaining this S/N for some reason, perhaps just to see how many people would hit on it.

I can't imagine why they would take it down or get rid of it. After all, any publicity is good publicity and an AOL e-mail address blabbed on the show is a pretty cheap way of seeing who's paying attention.

Has anyone actually written to this address and received a response?

I suspect they'll have to do something to keep the address out of circulation, unless they change the episode. So long as people keep seeing the email address, some are likely to send it email, just to see what happens (or to see if it still works). Since it wouldn't be fair for someone else to get all such messages, the show will either have to keep the email address forever, or AOL will have to retire it forever. I gather this issue is why phone numbers on shows and in movies are deliberatly bogus.

That is why you should have at least two mail accounts. One for personal e-mail, another for sending stuff to suspect persons.

Not everybody who sends a message to that address is writing "to a cartoon character." Some (like me) just want to send /brief/ messages to whomever gets the messages there behind the scenes.

Just one thing. Who other than a Simpsons fan would WANT to be "ChunkyLover53"???
