DVD - Season Three

When will it be released in the US (region 1)? Thank you.

Funny...just last night, my wife asked me to ask the video store manager at the mall if he knew when the season 3 dvd would be out. All day long I kept saying "I'll go a little later". When I finally got to the mall video store, I asked the assistant clerk to see the store manager, and he said "He just left". When I asked him if he knew if the season 3 DVD would be out by Christmas...he said he didn't know. : (

Actually, I did ask a store manager at the mall recently and without hesitating he said November 26th. Here's hoping!

I work at a store that sells DVD's and we always recieve a list of streetdays for upcoming releases. So far, I have not seen the third season of the Simpsons, on the list which shows all releases untill December.

I remember the first time I saw that scene and I remember rewinding over and over again the expression in Homer's eyes when he said Mr. T. His eyes got all big for just a second, but it was too cool to only see once.

I doubt they would release it in January...they'd be missing the holiday season...I think they'd rush to put it out by December....besides, I think January's waaaaaay too early...I'm gonna say Summer '03.

two points -- first, you brits seem to get all the good stuff that isn't even released in r1, like futurama and especially family guy(side rant -- i'm going to start killing people if that doesn't make it's way across the pond), and you get everything else first. although i wonder about that happening with the simpsons stuff, because isn't the bbc a couple years behind fox in even showing them first-run, and wouldn't the dvd's have a negative effect on syndication stuff, or is that not how stuff goes in england?

second, last march you could pre-order season2 on amazon for an april or may release, but that didn't stop it from getting delayed until, what, august or september?

first, you brits seem to get all the good stuff that

BBC2 is a few seasons behind US, however SkyOne (The only other UK channel that airs the Simpsons) isn't, infact we are equal with the US and will be getting THOH XIII (13) just 2 weeks after it airs in the US and possibly the second episode of S14 a week after that.

Also we hardly get anything first, and if it is it's probably a mistake on release schedules. ;) From cinema releases, DVDs, VHS, Games you name it we get it late. (Only very, very few exceptions)

S2 DVD came out here in the on the 8th July this year.....

BBC is currently showing Season 10 - it's unlikely that the DVD release of Season 3 would impact too greatly on viewing figures :-) (besides which there's naff all else on the other terrestrial channels at 6 pm, so we'd watch The Simpsons and the BBC no longer has the rights to earlier seasons. I'm guessing Winter 2003 which is January-March. I own Simpsons Season 1 & Season 2 & I really want to own all of the seasons of the Simpsons. The estimated release date for Season 3 of MASH is 2/18/2003 so maybe the Simpsons Season 3 may be coming around that time.
