Maybe has been mentioned, haven't seen it after looking through a couple posts. Figured I'd try to get it in since I never get to be the first with everything, 3 hrs behind the East Coast.
Marge's comment "That's the worst thing you've ever done!" followed by Homer's "You say that so often that it's lost all meaning" is clearly a reference to our favourite comment "worst episode ever" which is said so often that it has indeed lost all meaning.

I think the comment is a comment of itself. Saying "This is the worst thing you've ever done" more than once inherently negates all iterations of said statement. Oooh, a bit wordy there. What I mean is, if you say more than one thing is the "worst thing" ever, then it loses all meaning.

Interesting, in that DABF01 aired after DABF02. In both episodes, "That's the worst thing you've ever done" is said by Marge. DABF01 was produced first. But, DABF02 (She of Little Faith) aired before DABF01 (Brawl in the Family), so Homer's line isn't as funny as it could have been.

Yes, keeping that in mind Homer's line now makes much more sense. Here's hoping that doesn't become her new catch phrase.
