No I'm not talking about crossovers, well sort of.

Basically has anyone ever seen a joke in Futurama that is based, or even loosely based on one from the Simpsons, or vice-versa.

For example in the Simpsons you've probably heard the line "There's like a party in my mouth and everyone's invited!" The other day I saw Fry say "There's like a party in my mouth and everyone's throwing up!" You just know they came up with Fry's line with the Simpsons in the back of there mind, even if they have differant writers.

I'm a little off topic but.. Bongo produced a 'Futurama Simpsons infinitely secret crossover crisis' issue recently, the second part being due in December. Check it out, its a good story imho

there are various references to gambling to the praise of God. And the Famous reference to Jebus in Corinthians 9, or 19? help me out on that one.

Was the Simpons 1st to use that joke? Like some-thing is on 'page 275' of the bible, or some-thing is 'somewhere near the back'.

But isn't there a never-aired episode of the Simpsons where they go to the World's Fair (not the 1982 one), and visit an exhibit where there's a time machine, and then end up visiting Frye and the rest of the gang at Planet Express way in the future? I have a vague feeling there's a matching episode where the Futurama characters go back to the "stone age" to visit the Simpsons.

Oh wait, that was the Flintstones and the Jetsons crossover episode(s). The World's Fair being referred to was probably the 1964 New York World's Fair, since it happened at about the same time as the episode. That fair did coincidentally have a Futurama exhibit.
