Have just realised that the music accompanying Maggie in "Call of the Simpsons" is paraphrased from Carl Nielsen's Clarinet Concerto. What a show.

It's the best or second best season one episode! They get so much stuff done in a 20 minute. And good stuff!

I still remember laughing so hard the first time I saw it, tears rolled down my face-first when Homer gets up out of the mud, then they cut to the "Bigfoot" story... and then, the consequent "tabloid news stories". Once you've seen something more than a couple times, it can lose its impact... however. I remember laughing my ass off at the Naked Gun's intro (the siren light, going everywhere... locker rooms, etc.) the first time I saw it, but the second time I saw the movie... the whole thing really wasn't that funny.
I would have to say it's my favorite season 1 episode as well. When they have Homer in the cage, and they're doing tests on him and feeding him porkchops, and all he has to say is, "Can I have some applesauce?". LMAO. Oh yeah, and the "Ultimate Behemoth", and I forget, who did the voice of the salesman? I can picture his face right now, but I can't remember. Albert something? Damn, I don't have my guide handy.
