you've heard of the upcoming simpsons DVD, but get this!...

...According to the SNPP archive, there were plans way back in 1998 to put OFF on laserdisk, but after some eps had been sent for remastering, no laserdisks were released... Fox apparently (and w/o explanation) abandoned the project. My theory: Laserdisks were on their way out. Anyways, fans have had to wait 3 years (!) for the Simpsons to finally be released on digital video, and it's finally coming this fall. I hope you enjoy it!
