Lisa Simpson gets environmental award, "Lisa Simpson has been honoured for her environmental awareness. The Environmental Media Association has given the cartoon character its Ongoing Commitment Award. The association was created by the American entertainment community to educate people about environmental problems. The award, which has previously been given to actor and director Rob Reiner, John Travolta, and former US vice president Al Gore, will be presented at the association's annual gala, on November 7.
