REVIEW: A-minus - normally, I like the occasional musical number, but
        am I the only one who is getting tired of the THOH episodes
        ending with them?  Also, "Four Beheadings and a Funeral"
        didn't seem to have the same "snap" that you usually get from
        the "don't call it the Halloween Special any more" stories.

There was also a visual ref to Jack Webb's old production company called (I think) "Mark VII". At the end of each ep of the 1950s "Dragnet" a sweaty, muscular hand would position a stamp while the other hand would tap the stamp with a hammer, then strike it hard with sfx.

The hand would lift the stamp to reveal "Mark VII" in Trajanic caps.

Well, the actor who played him was. In the second tv incarnation of Dragnet, in the 1960s, Frank Morgan played Joe Friday's partner. "The guy before Col. Potter" was the partner in the 1950s version of Dragnet, a big, beefy actor.

That was back in the days when you'd say "gimme five bees for a quarter," and we wore onions in our belt 'cos it was the style at the time. I had a gun in my garter, I did.
