Sorry if this has been asked before.
Last night, locally in syndication, the episode "Milhouse Stars as Fallout Boy" aired (sorry if that's not the exact title). This episode has always bugged me...
The animation looks very different from other Simpsons episodes. The colors seem lighter (especially skin tones), and the animation in general not as vibrant. Black lines drawn around characters and objects seem sleeker as well. It basically doesn't look like a Simpsons episode. Also, a lot of the jokes seem very obscure, and the dialogue is kind of strange as well.
What's the deal? Was this simply done by a different animation studio, different writers? What went on with this one?
