Simpsons CURSE!? June 2005

In recent years, several voices on "The Simpsons" including Phil Hartman, Linda McCartney, George Harrison, Barry White, Rodney Dangerfield, and Johnny Carson have died. Ironically, the voices on other currently airing animated series such as "Family Guy", "American Dad" and "Spongebob Squarepants" are all STILL ALIVE. Is there something more to the death of Simpsons voices such as Johnny Carson? Are the deaths of Hartman, McCartney, Harrison, and more just coincidences...or is there some sort of "Simpsons Curse" at work? Please post your thoughts.

Can we also attribute the Curse to the recent death of actor Dana Elcar, who, while he never appeared on the show, played Pete on Patty and Selma's favorite show, MacGyver?

Most deaths in the world have a link to the simpsons, the curse is bigger then anyone first thought.

1. That's some curse. 2. People like John Wayne have been on the Simpsons, but died long before the show even came into existence! See #1. 3. Did you know that Smithers is black? And in one episode, he was gay! 4. Speaking of gay, Rob Wade, ... 5. People like Leonard Nimoy, Kirk Douglas, and Steven Hawking, who are going to live forever, have also been on the Simpsons.

I just realized. The following people died before the show came into existence, yet they appeared on the show!

John Wayne. In Hell in a THOH episode. Irene Ryan. "Saving Irene Ryan" was being filmed in Toronto when OFF went there. "JEDDDDD!" Elvis Presley. Shot TV set in Itchy and Scratchy episode. Frank Sutton. Sargeant Carter on "Gomer Pyle USMC". Homer visualized him in a fantasy while cleaning the basement. "PYYULLL!" "SHAZAMMM!"

An example of someone who never appeared on the show but was killed by the curse is Jonathan Harris. In the BIMONSCIFICON episode, his "Dr. Smith" character from the 60s TV show "Lost in Space" was there, but voiced by someone else. And, Homer spoofed him in the "Lost in Space" scene in "Fear of Flying". Harris died a few years ago.

That's absurd. The Simpsons has had a ridiculously larger amount of stars on the show. More than any of the other lesser cartoons. Also, many of the guests on the show have been older. The scarier thought is the amount of times the writers have had to change jokes for the oddball people that they reference in a joke and then die during production causing a name change in the joke.

What's really absurd is that you gave this guy a serious answer.
