I don't know. I kind of liked what they had going, the different couch gag type things, with the different colors. This seems a bit weird to me. Oh well, I'll still buy it.

It's printed on the box in that picture that it's a collectors edition. They'll probably release it in the usual fold out layout with slip case as well.

Doubt it. If you look at the covers for the previous releases, you will find that they also say, "DVD Collector's Edition" in the same style as the new box.
It kinda looses the continuity the others had goin! However I suppose I could get used to them, looks okay wonder what it's like in the flesh.
Fair enought this one may fit in our shelf but what about when they get round to Marge?
As long as the episodes are there and it includes a nice load of special features I will still be makin the purchase.
Still seems a bit of a strange step though! (hope it doesn't effect the price either).
Is this packaging going to come out only in R1 or do we all get it?

Yeah, that's what I said. They could make her hair fold over, that'd be a farley cool idea. The only other way however would be to only hint at the style and cut it off early, which I'm sure would be a perfectly valid and more affordable alternative and probably their prefered choice.
Seasons 7, 8, 9 and 10 will have marge's head... Her face will only be shown on season 7. :D
Now that, I'd like to see! Would almost make the lack of continuity worth it. raoflmaool

I really don't like this idea. I hate it when TV shows change their box part way through the series it makes my DVD shelf loose continuity. I mean I was pissed when Quantum Leap changed to slim cases instead of the normal fold open case (although I know the slim cases protect the DVDs better).
