Nah, I just want to see what the rules are for advertising on Network TV. I'm from the UK, and I just came out to the US recently for the first time in about 10 years. I realised that there is an incredible amount of advertising now in an hours worth of programming (about 7, compared to 3 in the UK) compared to the last time I visited. Or maybe its the same amount of time, split into more breaks. I wasn't sure, so I wanted to look it up. Can anyone fill me in on when it all changed and what you guys thought at the time? It breaks up continuity pretty badly, you guys must have good concentration spans! Thanks, Ed.

The Mass Media Bureau of the Federal Communications Commission (http://www.fcc.gov/mmb/) regulates broadcast TV and radio stations in the US. They issue licenses for broadcasts. Broadcasting radio/TV signals without a license is against the law. A Supreme Court case had occurred when Berkeley students broadcasted their own radio station w/o a license. They lost. This question amuses me, but I will reply without insulting anyone too much. The only people who regulate television are the FCC. I am sure that they have a website set up somewhere. Just do a yahoo search for FCC and you should get plenty of information.
