I dont know if this has been asked on the boards before- I am pretty new- but is it true that after september 11, the episode where the family goes to NYC is no longer shown??

I haven't seen the ep in NYC since Sept. 11 so no. I do remember a couple of weeks ago in the tv listings it mentioned the ep was gonna be shown in a couple of days but i tuned in and it was a diff ep.

It has been run since 9/11. It even aired just two months after the fact.

No, it didn't. All Fox affiliates pulled the ep from their rotation after 9/11:

It has since aired in many areas since 2002.

To my knowledge, it has not aired on the NYC FOX affiliate. It was listed in TV Guide for the 7 PM slot on May 18th of this year, but was replaced by "Lisa The Simpson".

Yes, it was in my DTV cable guide, but wasn't shown. I have no information as to why WNYW had it was pulled.

It has definately been aired. At least here in Canada, I know its been on the Comedy Network a couple times this year. There was also rumor that they cut the part where they said, "they keep all the jerks in tower 1" and that was in it also.

No. It's been shown on Fox 5 WNYW (New York) multiple times since September 11.

Check the Google archives. It aired in November 2001 if I'm not mistaken.

On WNYW? Unlikely. I would have definatley seen it. WNYW has been playing later episodes at both 6:30, 7 PM and 11:30 for a few weeks now.

I've seen that episode many times on TV since then.

Seen it twice in Pittsburgh with no unusual cuts. (Darn, even downloaded it 'cause I didn't think they'd air it again!!)
