In this Season 3 episode there's something that really puzzles me. Homer helps his half brother (Herb) become rich again. In the end Herb buys Homer a special chair that vibrates. At the very end of this episode it shows Homer's sperm vibrating. What is the meaning of that scene because I don't understand what it's suppose to mean?

This episode begins with a physical or something at the SNPP, in this test Burns discovers that Homer's sperm is pretty lazy, because of the work at the SNPP of course. He fears that Homer's going to sue him because of that so he wants to give him an amount of money, 'packed' in an award. The price money is $2000 and before his brother comes to his house Homer decided to buy a vibrating chair from that money.

You'll probably understand it a bit now :-)

Yes, I am aware of the story but I thought it was very silly to show a scene at the very end of Homer's sperm vibrating from the chair.

Under normal conditions Homer's sperm would not vibrate when he sits in the vibrating chair, because he usually removes his testicles and puts them in the wall safe behind the sailboat painting. However, in this particular episode Homer used the velcro pads on his taint to attach his testicles. So then the vibrations of the chair also vibrated his testicles, which, of course, vibrated his sperm.

The reason the producers showed the sperm vibrating is so they will have a retroactive explanation for the incessant vibrating of the new Simpson baby, Trevor, who will be born in the upcoming Simpsons movie. A large part of the movie will be built around jokes related to his vibrating, things like how disgusting it is to change his diapers because his vibrations spray the excreta all over when you open them up, and how Marge gets an orgasm while nursing him because of the vibrating suckulization on her nipples, stuff like that. In fact, Trevor is the main reason why the Simpsons movie will have an "R" rating.

Trevor dolls, which will vibrate when you flip a switch on his back, will be a major marketing item. But you won't find any promotional stuff at McDonalds or Burger King because those restaurants won't support a movie with an "R" rating.
