actually, it all depends on the country you live in.
Here in Canada there have been at least two major ad campaigns with OFF hawking a particular product - one with KFC (both in TV and radio ads, in fact there's a classic radio ad with Burns, Smithers and the Pimple-Faced Teen) and two commercials about Homer buying a brand-new Toyota Corolla (one with Homer trying to make Flanders jealous, only to have it backfire when Ned reveals he bought a Corolla wagon; the other with Grampa berating Homer for being a spendthrift, but his tune changes when he discovers it's a Corolla).
In the U.S Homer was used in a series of Intel ads (Homer gets an Intel chip inserted in his Brain) and I believe 1-800-Collect (Homer at the Grand Canyon)

With good reason: Burger King makes the best burgers.
That is *so* sad if you truly believe that.

Just about any restaurant is an improvement over BK, with the possible exception of macdonalds, carl's junior or dairy queen.
Your question is idiotic. Nobody makes the "best burgers" as such a thing would have to be defined first. But just about any restaurant can do a better job than BK.
This isn't rocket science.
["TCS"; Tue, 03 Dec 2002 03:10:16 GMT]
A fair opinion. In mine, BK makes the best (I'm talking only of major chains here).
You need to tighten up your definition to restrict yourself to national fast food restaurants if you want BK to have a chance. There are dozens of restaurant chains that make a superior burger to BK. And that's not saying much. BK's burgers are greasy, burnt, and have barely any beef at all compared to total size of the burger.
everyone knows that spongebob makes the best. discussion. over.

Yeah I think the point was really meant between the choice of "mcdonalds" and "burger king" fast food style burgers, I think. If it was then I AGREE! but I still love a good old flat boiling sausy disgustingly tastey mcdonalds.
BAH. Wendy's is superior...
That's not saying anything. Just about any chain with the exception of carl's junior, dairy queen, and possibly macdonalds can make a better burger than BK.
In every way. There's really no room left for debate.

I don't know if they're the best, but the burgers at Steak and Shake are pretty damn good. Definitely better than the fast food places like BK, McD's, and W. ________________________________________________________________

You mispelled "worst". Wendy's makes the best burgers.

No way. Hamburgers aren't supposed to be square.
Austin
But they are supposed to taste good. That eliminates BK from this equation.
If Wendy's made their burgers look like trapezoids, I'd still eat them.

I don't like BK, I just despise Wendy's. I live in California, and, like most others out here, I believe that In N Out make the best burgers by far...

I'd go to a restaurant called In N Out just because of the name. Or maybe I should avoid it completely... ________________________________________________________________

Non-Simpsons quote: "Accidents begin, when in is used for out and out is used for in."
No-one can possibly like McDonald's or BK's burgers, the reason being, they ain't burgers. 90% of the taste is injected chemically in plants in the U.S. And the reason McDonald's is full of bright colours, round shapes and clowns (ronald mcdonald)? market research has proven that these images are amongst the most burned into young children's minds, so that in later years they will subconsciously want go back to McDonalds and and will do so without ever really knowing why. They're evil bastards and they are deliberately fucking with your mind.
go read fast foot nation, it WILL change your life (not that i believed anyone who said that to me).

I have my doubts about Ronald. Back in the 1970's, Mayor McCheese was the duly elected leader of McDonaldland, then suddenly he disappeared from all commercials, McDonald's playgrounds, packaging, etc. Also disappearing at this time was the professor of Hamburgerology (the intelligentsia of Mcdonaldland) and the French Fry Goblins. Grimace also changed from a multi-armed creature to a two-armed creature, the surgery to remove his freakish extra limbs serving as part of his payment for his part in the assassination.
I believe that Mayor McCheese was assassinated by a conspiracy involving Grimace, the Hamburglar, and Ronald McDonald. Grimace and Hamburglar shot the Mayor down as he rode through Mcdonaldland in his open-topped limo. Triangulated cross-fire and all that. Ronald rose to a leadership position in McDonaldland. One of his first acts as dictator was the genocide of the French Fry Goblins. They were exterminated completely. To minimize intellectual opposition to the regime, the Professor was bumped off with an untraceable poison placed in a McRib sandwich.
Of course, the McDonald's people won't admit to any of this. Everytime I call my local McDonald's franchises to ask them about all this, they dismiss me as a kook and hang up. Obviously, they are trying to hide something.

Thank you. I needed that laugh.

Apparently he wasn't all too successful. They're still around (although now they're simply called 'Fry Guys'). Unless I'm thinking of something totally different, of course.

Nah, you're thinking of those horrific little talking chicken nuggets. Those things are obviously demon-possessed.
Dont forget the short lived CosMC..apparently Mr McDonald cracks down HARD on illegal aliens.
I passed by a McDonald's today and the sign out front said, "McRib is back." Did people really miss it? ________________________________________________________________

Perhaps it was a warning.
Have you ever seen that terrible movie "MAC and Me"? That alien deserved to get cracked down on...
There are both Fry Guys and Fry Gals (very frightening), as well as the talking chicken nuggets, but I haven't seen them on the commercials in years. I think I might still prefer them over Donald Trump and Bernie Mac asking Grimace to bump with him.
["Katijaikat"; Sun, 08 Dec 2002 06:59:59 GMT]
That's not Bernie Mac; it's Cedric the Entertainer.
You're right.
LOL! I love it. Ronald McDonald as Stalin! In both cases, most of their early associates didn't last long. Which McDonalds character fled to Mexico and was hunted down and killed with an icepick (or was it a spatula?) by Ronald's thugs? :)

Probably Hamburgler. Notice that the current Hamburgler has a simpering little baby face, and the real Hamburgler was totally sinister looking. Obviously, this is an McDonaldland intelligence agency duplicate, similar to the "second Oswald" that was photographed outside the Soviet embassy in Mexico in 1961.

BTW, for those in and around New York City, I strongly urge y'all to check this show out. As funny as any _Simpsons_ episode (and I've seen all of 'em), as well as a brilliant parody of the public face that multinational food chains use to cover their evil doings (with McDonaldland-type creatures, a spokesclown, and a friendly "founder" who may or may not be a megalomaniac). Freakin' hilarious. (Me being musical director doesn't affect my objectivity, of course.) Our final weekend at our current space is coming up (Dec 13 & 14).

I don't get the subtext of Frink using technology to create a hamburger where there was nothing burgerlike before. Maybe it's about White Castle.
