Also, the scene where Homer and Ned were waiting in the car while Fat Tony was in the restaurant. In that movie about that Connection that was French, bad guy Fernando Rey ate dinner and drank fancy wine with his criminal buddies in the highbrow restaurant while Gene Hackman and Roy Scheider waited outside in the car drinking stale coffee and freezing to death.

Yes! Someone is giving these references the respect that they deserve!
