**Since Fox is not hosting the super bowl on 1/29/03 (ABC is covering it), does anyone know if there will be a new episode shown that evening? Hey Moe's favorite team is still in it (the Atlanta falcons), but they will probably be out of it by next Saturday evening.

Epcot center really is as lame as they made it out on the show, but I wonder if Disney will ever get any new rides there? I live close to a Six Flags Theme Park, and they get a new ride every year, while Disney just will open a new theme park every so often. I was always hoping that Disney would open that Socialistic Futuristic Theme park that looked like something that Melevich or Rodchinko thought of, but I guess that will never happen. Anyone have a picture of it (I think there was a model of it on one of the Tomorrow Land rides)

Stand and Deliver. Information on the movie can be found at http://us.imdb.com/Title?0094027. It was a movie that came out in 1988 that teaches you that you have to have the ganas in order to tackle Calculus. In it Jaime Escalante teaches students in only two years all math up to the level of Calculus. It made Mr. Escalante some sort of a celebrity in the math teaching world (or at least I am assuming it is since I watched him on PBS all the time as a teenager), and also was a cool movie for the following lines:
Jaime Escalante: If I teach you sex, I have to give you sex for homework.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- Jaime Escalante: Tough guys don't do math. Tough guys fry chicken for a living!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- Claudia: You're worried that we'll screw up big tomorrow, aren't you? Jaime Escalante: Tomorrow's another day. I'm worried you're gonna screw up the rest of your lives.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- Test Investigator: Where did you get the test? Angel: The mailman. I strangled him. His body's decomposing in my locker.
Review: I enjoyed this episode thoroughly because it was heartwarming and funny. Also, it progressed a plotline that started in season 8 (4F09-Grade School Confidential) that was thought to be a secret relationship (lets say they kept it in the closet), except that it seems that Bart knows about their current state of affairs. Maybe Flanders told Bart about his date with her in "Alone Again, Natura-Diddly". Either way, that is a good progression in the show (at least it will give them something interesting to make into a later episode). All in all, I give this one an A-. There is also a huge plus for the parody of Epcot Center. The show would have gotten an A if some writer had not had to gloat over the fact that they were doing a good job for a change. :-)

the ironic thing is that I actually wrote that all myself. I got the quotes from imdb, but that is it. I saw this movie in algebra II and geometry about 7 years ago, so I kinda know what is happening in it but only remember some quotes and not intricate plot details.
