7F16 thought

hello, i haven't really posted in a long time for various reasons we won't go into here (mmmHey), but i was watching 7F16 O Brother Where Art Thou? this morning and the blackboard gag is "I will not sell land in Florida." it dawned on me then that perhaps that was a Glengarry Glen Ross reference, but figured the episode aired before the movie premeried (02.21.91 vs. 09.29.92 in the usa), but the writers could have easily been referencing the play. i checked the capsule and there's nothing in there about this, and i just wonder - what in the world could that blackboard gag mean? sure, i may be reading into it too much, but as a Simpsons nut it's my duty to do so! any thoughts or ideas? this would make it the earliest glengarry reference, as far as i know. maybe i'm just being foolish. just thought i'd share.
