LOS ANGELES--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Oct. 23, 2001--Cast members and other celebrity guests turned out for the Los Angeles premiere of ``Uprising,'' an original NBC miniseries airing on November 4 and 5 directed, co-written and produced by Jon Avnet.
``Uprising'' is the true story of Jewish resistance fighters who battled the Nazis in the Warsaw Ghetto during World War II. Leelee Sobieski, Hank Azaria, David Schwimmer, Jon Voight, Donald Sutherland, Cary Elwes, Avnet, and real-life survivor, Kazik, along with Warren Lieberfarb, president of Warner Home Video and Scott Sassa, president, NBC West Coast, attended the star-studded screening.
