IHOP?

homer said ihop in the flashback, i think i'd call that a goof, but i could be wrong. shortening the names of things is a mid-to-late 90's thing: ihop, kfc, trl, snl, etc. the flashback was set in the 80's.

and might i add, mmm...kfc *drools*

I remember that rhyme (which was presumably an advertising campaign of some sort) back in the 70s, since there was still an International House of Pancakes where I was a kid.

The flashback was in the late '70s, right? When Homer & Marge were in high school (or just out).. IHOP is an old nickname..

Naw, the ihop has always been the ihop...and initializing things, while accelerated by the net, was very 80s (it was around me, anyway). Earlier in fact; see: Woody Allen's Californized friend in Annie Hall pointing out the VPL's
